Carlton’s Montrose Mule Days Select Saddle Mules Auction will be limited to the first 100 head of select saddle mules accepted. We will start taking consignments January 1, 2008.
Auction Mule Consignments will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis and as approved by Carlton’s Montrose Mule Days. Please fill out the Consignment Sheet, one per mule, and submit a photo and video along with registration and website fee of $100.00.
Fees are nonrefundable.
One stall will be furnished at no charge for each consigned mule. Office Check-in begins on Wednesday, June 4, 2008. The Mule Sale Preview begins promptly Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 9:00 AM and the Mule Auction will follow starting promptly at 12 PM.
All mules sold through the sale will be guaranteed sound. If you need someone to ride your mule through the auction ring arrangements can be made with a fee of $100.00 per mule. Arrangements can also be made to full body clip your mule for a fee of $100.00 per mule … appointments are required for this service.
Please provide a video showing you working with your mule, riding at different speeds, saddling, putting bridle on, side passing, stopping, stepping up into the saddle on both left and right side, working the mules ears and feet, and anything else that will show the talents of your mule. Carlton’s Montrose Mule Days reserves the right to not accept your mule for consignment if your mule does not handle correctly to qualify as a Select Saddle Mule. Mules not considered select will be sold at the end of sale.
